Improve Your Eating Habits In 1-Minute A Day

 

A photo food journal is one of the most powerful ways to change your eating habits. If you struggle with compulsive snacking, maybe we can spiral or just overeating. It can completely change how you eat and so why is it so powerful? Why would I pound the table? You got to do this.

 First, it's a pattern interrupt. Our habits are deeply ingrained, and they're unconscious, and so when you have a pattern, interrupt. I am going to dive into that and everything else. It's like now you have to take out your camera, and before you eat something, you have to take a photo of it, and it interrupts the pattern. 


You have a cue, a routine, and a reward in between. You take out the phone, and it interrupts your habit. It can make you much more conscious and aware of what you're doing. The second reason is accountability. It's like significant accountability. 

Because you're taking a photo of what you're eating better than just using a calorie tracking app where you have to put in many ingredients, you're going to see a photo. You can see a stream of photos that help you see what's going o, and it helps you become accountable, and then third is that. 

It's just simple and easy and fast. You always have your phone on you, and it takes a second. You're like boom, okay photo's done right so it takes like a minute a day so with one minute a day you can like majorly change your eating habits so just a couple considerations first that can be a little bit awkward in social situations.

 And so I think in this case, make a conversation starter and have fun with it. Be light with it, and it's hopefully not going to be for the rest of your life.  It doesn't have to be maybe it's just a week or two, or maybe it's a few months, but it's not the end of the world, right and the second thing is it can make some guys feel uncomfortable because it's a lot of accountability.

 When you have external accountability, we've had some guys go through our program who've done a photo food journal and send it to us. We can evaluate it, which is significant accountability and, in general, the more accountability, the more results.

' It can make some people feel a little bit uncomfortable, so I want to throw it out there, and now there are two ways to consider doing a photo food journal. One is a quick and dirty way where you take it out and take a photo of it. You can even maybe create a folder in your library. '

The second is using a day one journal app, and let me show you how that works, so the first thing we're going to do is download the app, and you can go to the app store or the google play store, depending on the device. You're using then you're going to start a new journal, so let's go into the day one app. 


Right now, you'll see I've got a photo food journal sample and so take a photo of food. We're going to eat, so I'm going to take a photo of my hand just for demonstration purposes, so I'm going to click the plus sign on the bottom part of the menu, then I'm going to click the camera icon. 

You can load a photo you've already taken from your photo library or click the camera and take one right now, so I'm just going to take a photo of my hand right here.  I'm going to click add, and then I have my hand for lunch apparently, so we're going to click done, and you'll see that it comes up right here.

 I pre-filled a couple so that you can see. It's immaculate and straightforward s you can see each. You can even see the times you ate them. It's pretty clean and friendly the other cool thing about this is if you click on the media button on the bottom menu you'll see all the different uh images of everything you've eaten it's immaculate and friendly you can also click on the map on the bottom portion and see the various locations you've eaten.

If you click the calendar, which is the bottom menu and the furthest to the right, you can click on the fourth um you can click on a specific day. It shows you cleanly everything you ate. It also shows you some of the photos it pulls you and shows you where you wait for that day.
